Candle Safety
At Lunar Webb Candles, safety is our top priority. We want you to enjoy our candles in your home without any worries. Please read our candle safety tips below to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience with our products. These tips will ensure that your candles burn not only safely, but to their fullest potential!
Some of these tips may not apply to wax melts.
Never leave a candle burning unattended!
To ensure the safety of you and those around you, please keep an eye on any open flames inside of your home! Also be mindful of pets getting too close!
Trim your wick!
Remember, candles always burn better when you trim their wick (1/4") before each and every burn! This will improve the quality of your candle experience exponentially!
Burn 1/2" of wax during the first burn!
For best results and high quality burn, remember to burn at least 1/2" of wax during the first burn. This will reduce the risk of tunneling!
Please remove embeds from the surface of your candle!
We love to add beautiful embeds to the tops of your candles, such as stones, coffee beans, flower petals and more! While it is safe to burn these things, they may impact the overall lifespan and quality of your candle. It is recommended to remove non-wax embeds to the best of your ability!
Only burn for 4 hours at a time!
If you burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time, carbon will collect on the wick, and your wick will begin to "mushroom." This can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to get too large, your candle to smoke, and soot to be released into the air and around your candle container!
Avoid burning your candle completely down.
Once the candle has burned down to about 1/2" wax remaining, discontinue use. The wax can be disposed of and the container recycled!
